One Stamp at a Time Blog Hop – Fabulous Florals. Today I am using Varied Vases.

I am hoping again today!! I love a Blog Hop! So, you have either joined me because you follow my Blog, or you have come from Sara Levin in the USA. I have absolutely no doubt that her projects will have been amazing!

 

OK, so let’s start with a confession. In my eagerness to get ahead with some of my Blog posts and videos, I planned this project without remembering that I need to make TWO projects, not just one. So, at the point of writing this post, I have the card, but nothing else. By the time the post goes live, there will be a second project and it will be the photo below, honestly!!

You see! I managed to remember to include the box! As the hop falls during my CASE the Catalogue fortnight, my project is CASEd. As the theme is Fabulous Florals, I decided to use the Varied Vases Bundle (buy it before 3rd June to save 10%!)  If you turn to page 45 of the 2018-19 Annual Catalogue, you will find the inspiration for this Varied Vases project. Yes it is VERY similar, I admit it! I have changed a couple of elements.

Firstly I am using a Basic Black card base, but I have also changed the embossing folder. I have used the Polka Dot folder (which is not carrying over!) so it is quite a subtle background. I kept most of the rest of the elements, including the Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon. But please be aware that the Very Vanilla of the ribbon is NOT carrying over!

When I first looked at the Catalogue, I thought the tulips were stamped in Berry Burst Ink, so my first card uses this. But, by the time I had finished that version, I decided that it was actually Poppy Parade, so in the video, this is the ink I have used. So, I think this is the original colour that was used. Let me just add, that when you use the Vases Builder Punch to punch out your Varied Vases, do think about the placement of your stamped images, so you don’t waste card. I have included some hints on this in the video above.
