Coffee Cafe – So Long and Thanks a Latte

10 May, 2019 by lizyuille Leave a Comment

10 May

Coffee Cafe – So Long and Thanks a Latte. Sorry that was a blatant lift from The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy Trilogy, but it does kind of sum up that Coffee Cafe is going to be leaving us soon. Today is another in my fortnight of CASEing the Catalogue and I am on page 60 of the 2018-19 Catalogue. I am CASEing the pink card on this page by keeping the layout, but changing the colours.

So Long and Thanks a Latte

We have been asked to help out our UK office for their Day of Service, by making Thank You Cards to give to a local Charity. The idea is that the Charity can use the cards to thank their volunteers (details of the Charity are on the Video). I have seen a few examples that other Demonstrators have made and there are a LOT of beautiful, but very feminine, cards already on their way. I thought it would be good to send a few that would be more suitable for the men who volunteer.

So Long and Thanks a Latte

The colour scheme I have chosen will work for men or women, Early Espresso and Fresh Fig on Crumb Cake. This is obviously a CASEd card, but has a totally different look to the original, which is VERY feminine.

Making 10 cards, I used the Stamparatus to speed things up. I die cut all the pieces I needed and die cut a template for them to sit in whilst I stamped them. This is such a time saver because you just die cut a shape and don’t have to worry about lining the stamps up. Watch the video for some tips on this that will save you lots of time. As I had some Heart Epoxy Droplets left over, I coloured them with the Dark Blackberry Bliss to add to the card to give them a bit of subtle shine.
