#Simplestamping Saturday – Pop of Petals. Yes, it’s that time of the week again! I am so happy to share my #simplestamping projects with you all. I am really touched by the comments I have had on this series and am thrilled that you are enjoying it as much as I am.
For those of you new to this series, the idea is that I take one stamp set, one of our Note Cards and Envelopes and minimal products to make a simple, but stunning, card. I show you how to make that card in the video, below, and then explain how it could be ‘stepped up’ for a more casual or and avid crafter, simply by adding a few more supplies and techniques. One thing to note with this series is that I don’t share dimensions for any of these projects. I do share a list of products used, starting with the #simplestamping version and then adding the additional products I used for the stepped up versions.

Today’s stamp set is the Pop of Petals, which is in the CURRENT Annual Catalogue and is carrying over to the NEW catalogue. BUT if you also want the punch, you should buy it NOW to save 10%! I love this stamp set. There are so many flower designs to choose from, and a butterfly! They all punch out with the matching punch, but there are additional foliage and floral images too.
I kept my design pretty simple and just let the zingy colours do the work, helped by a Blender Pen (such a great addition for a new stamper). Poppy Parade and Lemon Lime Twist was a fairly brave choice, but I think they work together (Lemon Lime Twist will be a distant memory soon, so if you want it, get it NOW!). I added some pale yellow to the Casual and Avid versions with the Light Daffodil Delight Blend and some Artisan Pearls. For the Avid version I coloured some Basic Pearls with the Dark Poppy Parade Blend for some added pop of colour.
I hope you enjoyed this project. If you would like any of the products and are in the UK, I would be thrilled to welcome you as a Customer. My customers will be the first to receive the new Annual Catalogue from me. I will be ordering them on 2nd May and will post them out as soon as I can after that.
