OnStage Make and Take Projects and Product Sneak Peek. One of the many fantastic things about going to the OnStage events is that we get to ‘play’ with new products. This has to be one of the top reasons for going. That and the opportunity to then order from a selection of new Products ahead of everyone else. Most Demonstrators have to wait until a month before the catalogue goes live, but OnStage attendees get to order before that. This time we had 5 make and take projects, this is more than usual, but there was a very special one, which I will come on to later.
The Make and Take sessions are generally quite chaotic, with everyone trying to stamp and punch at the same time, so I just concentrate on getting those bits done at the venue. Putting the final projects together wait until I get home and have a bit of peace and quiet. I have finally finished them all and they are so pretty. A great taste of what is coming in the new Annual Catalogue.
Bird Ballad
I think this suite is going to be one of the best sellers from the new catalogue. It is so fresh, yet with a soft palette. The full suite has new nested dies (yes, they are stitched too!). There is a tin full of laser cut cards, perfect for gifting. Plus a new lace trim. We made such a cute little project with this.
Follow Your Art
What a play on words. Bright, cheerful and with the cutest Mini Shipping Boxes and Stampin’ Up! Washi Tape. This will be perfect for anyone who is into crafts, art or stationary, and possibly a bit of home decorating. Our Make and Take was a quick project using only a ffew supplies and an existing border punch.
Come Sail Away
I LOVE this suite. It has a seaside feel to it, rather than strictly sailing. Our bedroom is very much in the same colour palette as this suite and has a seaside feel to it. So I can see myself making a few home decor items to match. The Make and Take has a wonderful clean feel to it, although there are a few layers, but I think it is the wash of Balmy Blue on the watercolour paper that keeps it all tied together.
Perennial Essence
Now I think I got myself confused with this on the Video. This is NOT Magnolia Lane, but it is very reminiscent of Impressionist paintings, so at least I got that right! The Papers in this suite really only need to be put in a frame, they are just stunning. Cutting into them could be an issue though! The Make and Take uses twine from the Magnolia Lane Suite (which is my excuse for getting confused!!) for just a hint of softness, which goes so well with the Floral Centres (little self adhesive bits of loveliness). Don’t get me started on the coloured vellums!
Hugs from Shelli Paper Pumpkin
Our final Make and Take was one of the cards that will feature in the limited edition (only available while stocks last) Paper Pumpkin Kit designed in collaboration with Co-Founder, Shelli Gardener. This Paper Pumpkin Kit is a one off for regions outside North America, but can be added to any order from 15th May, while stocks last. It is a great little kit, containing everything you need to make 12 cards, 3 each of 4 designs (other than a clear block – a D Block would be great for this kit). Priced at just £20, you can add it to a standard order. Ideal for sharing your craft passion with some friends. 1 kit would mean that 3 people would each get to make, and keep, 4 cards. Oh, and it will coordinate perfectly with the Bird Ballad Suite. More information will come shortly!
So, did you like the projects? Which is your favourite suite from these? Are you excited by the Hugs from Shelli Kit? I can’t wait for all my new goodies to arrive so I can start making some stunning projects to share with you all. Remember that if you are thinking about joining my team, if you sign up in May you can order some items from the new catalogue in your Starter Kit and get them before customers. If you waited until 15th May, you could include the Hugs from Shelli Paper Pumpkin as part of your kit!
