#Simplestamping Saturday – Wonderful Moments. You should know by now that I am loving my #Simplestamping Saturday series. Three projects using the same basic supplies and the same layout, but changed from a single layer, quick and easy card, through a version with a few more products. Finally a card with lots of techniques and products, basically one where the sky is the limit.

Today’s project uses the Wonderful Moments Stamp set from the Annual Catalogue. This is a great set that covers all sorts of occasions for the ladies in your life. The design of the #Simplestamping card is very simple, just two stamps for the card and one for the envelope. I decided to use Very Vanilla as my Card Base for a change, stamping in Soft Suede. Because the card is coloured, the ink comes out a little darker than it would on white, but I like the effect. I added a bit of sparkle with the Wink of Stella pen, just so the card was a bit more ‘special’. This is a great way to step up a project a little, but is so simple to do.

The Casual version adds Copper Heat Embossing, plus a couple of punches, some Copper Foil and some of that really pretty Vanilla Lace Trim. I still included the Wink of Stella as I love that subtle touch of sparkle, a great addition to any Wedding Dress. Oh, and in case you are wondering, I ‘gutted’ the Copper Foil so I did not waste that middle piece.

The Avid version adds one of the Delicate Lace Edgelits to the left of the card. I love how it adds an extra feature and shows off the Copper Foil even more. And yes, the Wink of Stella is still there.

I hope you can see how projects can be changed just a little to ‘grow’ with your crafting experience and your crafting stash. Just keep adding a few extra bits and pieces and learn a few new techniques and you will soon see your projects move from the really pretty ‘clean and simple’ style of the #Simplestammping style to the more elaborate Avid version.
