#Simplestamping Saturday – Little Twinkle A Star is Born. It is #Simplestamping Saturday again, so that means another project using minimal supplies, then stepped up to a Casual and then Avid Crafter Project. One design three ways, each adding either more supplies or more techniques, or both. As I have said before, the #Simplestamping version is perfect for a new stamper, but is also great if you want a quick project, or lots of the same project.
As ever, I have started my #Simplestamping project with a Note Card and Envelope. I have placed the stamped images in a diagonal line from top left to bottom right. This is a line that the eye generally finds pleasing, so is always a good place to start. Before I stamped the image at the top left, I placed some scrap paper along the score line to mask the back. I only wanted half of the image to be stamped, so this worked well. Two lengths of the matching Baker’s Twine tied in one bow, attached with a mini glue dot and it was done. Just a quick stamp on the front of the envelope. and everything is finished.
For the Casual version I used a standard A6 card base and added a mat of matching paper from the DSP pack. There are lots to choose from, most of which would work well for adults as well as children. The stamp images also work well for anyone. Instead of the stamp at the top corner of the card, I used the punch on the Whisper White Mat and then again on some Champagne Foil. The punched pieces were then inlaid into the punched out pieces into the Whisper White.
The Avid version replaced coloured stamping for Silver embossing. I punched out the moon and large star from some Silver Foil and popped them up on Mini Dimensionals. Then I added some self adhesive sequin stars to add to the celestial effect. So as you can see, just a few changes can really step up the project bit by bit.
