Home to Roost Delightfully Detailed Note Card. Welcome back to the ‘Norwegian Emergency Craft Kit’ series. Today is another Home to Roost card. Again I have used a Delightfully Detailed Note Card. I love these cards. They are printed in either Mint Macaron or Blackberry Bliss, which means with limited supplies, you can still have some easy colour on your base card. I featured a similar card to this a few weeks ago, but use a lot more supplies.

This card is just a few Stampin’ Write Markers again. The trick with the Cockerel being in front of the wheat is to stamp him first. Once you have stamped him on your card, stamp him again on a Post-It Note so that you overlap the sticky part and then cut this out to use as a mask. With the mask in place, stamp the wheat, which I did twice in Soft Suede. The sentiment is in Blackberry Bliss, ho help tie the various elements together.

The Cockerel uses a few slightly unexpected colours. I seem to have selected a fairly random choice of colours, all of which seemed like a fantastic idea at the time, but maybe not quite so much now. So, Blueberry Bushel, Soft Suede, Cajun Craze, Lovely Lipstick and Blackberry Bliss. I did use a Blender Pen to help ‘move’ the ink around, and I am surprisingly happy with the final result. As with yesterday’s card, I cut the mat using just a pair of snips. No measurements, just ‘by eye’. This was then mounted on a Blackberry Bliss printed card from the Delightfully Detailed Note Card Pack.

Quick, Easy and proof that with just a few supplies (OK, lots of random Markers!) you can make a great card. I would love to know what you would put in your ‘Emergency Craft Kit’.
