#Simplestamping Saturday – Artfully Aware. I am really enjoying this series. One of the reasons I signed up as a Demonstrator was to share the joy I get from paper craft. I truly believe that everyone can make wonderful projects, no matter if it is the first time they have crafted or the 500th. A stamp set, some ink and some card really is all you need. If you have a few more supplies, then you can add them, but there is no need.

Today’s projects use the Artfully Aware stamp set that was Janet Wakeland’s $1,000,000 Achiever set. I had the pleasure of speaking with her in Orlando at lunch one day. She shared a little about her the thoughts she had when she helped design the set. She wanted it to be inclusive of all kinds of personal challenge and the support others can provide. I think she nailed it, but it can also be used for more positive moments in your life. I personally think it is ideal for all kinds of Teams, and it was the Team image I chose for this project.

Just one ink pad, an image, a sentiment and a strip of patterned paper is all that is needed. I used the wood textures Designer Series Paper for the strip and stamped in Soft Suede on a Very Vanilla Notecard. I finished the project by adding the same paper to the flap of the envelope, I really must do that more often.

The Casual version is basically the same, but with extra layers of card and the addition of the Awareness Ribbon. I used the same ink, but added some shading to the image and the ribbon with Wink of Stella. The Avid version adds die cutting of the Awareness Ribbon (using the Support Ribbon dies), patterned paper for the mat and Cajun Craze and Pumpkin Pie to colour the shirts. I am really pleased with the results, I particularly like the coloured shirts.
