Scrapbooking Global February 2019 Blog Hop – Love and Marriage. Welcome to the Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop. If you have been following along the hop you will probably have joined me from Courtenay Heuston in Lisarow, New South Wales, Australia. I am guessing the weather there is a little warmer than it is here at the moment.

This is my first Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop and I am really excited to be joining in. I am loving the Theme of Love and Marriage and knew the picture I wanted to use straight away.

This was taken at my wedding just 3 years ago and is my husband and I about to take our vows. We always said we would get married one day, but it took us 23 years to actually do it, so it was a very special day. We wanted it to be intimate, so only immediate family were there.

I have used The Floral Romance Suite, which seems made for weddings. As my wedding dress was a rich red, I printed the photo in Black & White so it would blend in. I have been making quite a few projects with this Suite, so already have some die cuts ready to be used. I used quite a few to build up the look I wanted. Pretty much everything I used was from my February Craft Box, which is still available to order if you are in the UK, just take a look HERE.

If you watch the video you will see me make the layout basically from scratch. I had already sprayed the Fresh Fig card with a mix of Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint and rubbing alcohol. Other than this, building the layout was done in real time. You will even see the mistake I made building the area for the hidden journaling.

Why a red dress? Well you would have to read the journaling to find that out! Oh, and did you spot that I changed the colour of the die cut words. As I thought, adding the gold Seal changed the feel of the layout, so Gold was what was needed.
