Incredible Like You Rainbow Card. You probably know that there is a Project Kit that goes with the Incredible Like You stamp set. I gave you a quick tour of the Kit a few weeks ago, but today I want to concentrate on the Stamps. As the Project Kit colour scheme works so well, I have chosen to use the same colours here. Well, I thought I had, but apparently I have a colour blindness when it comes to Coastal Cabana and Balmy Blue. The first card I made had Balmy Blue in it – not what I meant to do, but I was on it for the second.

I love this set, which is probably no surprise. I find that I only craft well if I like the set. Sometimes I am proved wrong and I do enjoy a set I thought I didn’t, but this time I LOVE IT! It is a really easy two-step-stamping set. There are no real tricks to it, although for the cards I made today, I did find that the stripes were a bit too dark if I used full strength. But that was a design issue, not a stamp issue.

The trick with the card (not the set) is to cut masks for the sentiment, flower and leaves. You then stamp those elements and apply the mask. Ink up your stripes and off you go. Press firmly where the mask is so that you get as close to the stamped element as possible. Ah, but there is a trick with the stripe stamp. I almost forgot. I find it works best if you flip it over between each colour. That way the lines fit together better. I worked from the top down. When I got to the Lovely Lipstick I left a gap and went to the very bottom. The ribbon fills the gap perfectly.

Once I had finished the card I felt there was something missing. I grabbed the Glitter Dots from the Annual Catalogue and added three around the card. Now I was happy!
