Top Tip Tuesday – Easy Bows. I have shown you how to tie easy bows in lots of my videos, but I have never done a video just about how to tie easy bows. That has now been addressed. Today’s post and video is only about tying easy bows.

In our family this way of tying a bow is called an ‘Auntie Betty Bow’ because my Aunt Betty could only tie a bow this way. It has kind of stuck, so I will always think of this method as being her invention. It really is very simple and makes a perfect bow every time. You can even manipulate the ribbon so that both loops and tails are the same colour if you are using reversible ribbon! How great is that!

All you need to do is form 2 loops of ribbon and tie a half knot with them, then just adjust the ribbon until you have the perfect size for your project. Stick it on with a glue dot, it really is that simple. Easy bows are definitely one of my ‘go to’ techniques, so ‘Thank you Auntie Betty!’
