Sketch Challenge Time at Inspire Create Challenge. And I do love a good Sketch Challenge, so this one made me very happy. This sketch is so easy to work with as well as being a great way to use up a few scraps. Those strips and the circle can easily be those annoying little bits that you don’t want to throw away, but you can’t think of how to use them up. THIS SKETCH!!!
I made two very different cards but only changed a few of the supplies. This just shows that a sketch challenge can be the jumping off point for some very different projects. But if you follow the link by clicking on the picture above, you will see how the other Team members have taken the sketch in so many different directions.
My first project uses the Needlepoint Nook Paper, the second uses the Gingham Gala. I have used the Well Said Bundle on both projects, but that is the only similarity. The Needlepoint Nook version was made as part of a Challenge I have issued my Team of Sparkling Sunflowers. Every month I send out a package of products to them and Challenge then to make some projects with them to share in our Team Facebook Group. There is a winner each month (picked at random), who gets a small reward. It is a great way to keep the Team sharing and for them to see products that they might not see otherwise.
The second version is much brighter using almost neon colours, but it is almost EXACTLY the same as the original project. On both I have layered the word die cuts by just cutting a few extras and sticking them together. This is a great way to add some additional dimension, and is really easy if you use the adhesive sheets to make the dies into stickers. The Gingham Gala version uses one of the Butterfly Elements from the Sale-a-Bration Brochure. I have added colour by heat embossing with White Embossing Powder and then some Stampin Blends. Adding layers of embossing is one of my favourite techniques, that I have not used for too long!
So now it is over to you. Make a project using the sketch challenge as a launch point and then share it with us over at the Inspire.Create.Challenge post. You have until 10 pm (UK time) on 3rd February, so lots of time!
