#simplestamping Saturday – Hey Love. As it is Saturday, it means that it is also time for #simplestamping! Today I have a selection of cards using the Hey Love stamp set. This is a set I had not intended to get, but then I just fell in love with the little critters. I also realised that it is not just for Valentine’s Day, and that to me was key. When I buy my supplies I need to see that there are lots of projects that I can make with them. So, with this in mind I am happy to share today’s projects with you.

My #simplestamping series is always the same. One project that is aimed at new crafters, or those who want a really quick project. The next project is for those crafters who have a few more supplies and are comfortable with a few basic techniques, or want to try them. The final project is aimed at crafters who want it all and would like to have a go at more techniques. Today follows that same pattern.

My #simplestamping project uses Note Cards and Envelopes. I have used Memento Ink to stamp the Ape and the sentiment in the bottom right corner. Once the ink was fully dry, I coloured the image using just 2 Stampin’ Blends, Light Smoky Slate and Light Flirty Flamingo. The card is a simple as that. BUT there is a risk that the ink will ‘bleed’ through to the inside of the card. To avoid this, use a light hand and make sure that each layer of colour is fully dry before you add the next. Alternatively, cut a piece of Whisper White just a little smaller than the Note Card and do your stamping on that, then adhere it to the card front.

For both of the other projects I added some of the All my Love patterned paper, some punches and a few more blends. On the Avid version I added a magnetic closure, just for a bit of fun. I have listed the products I used for ALL the projects, but do remember that the #simplestamping version is just the first five items!
