Sale-A-Bration Gala Colour Challenge. It is time for another Colour Challenge over at Inspire Create Challenge, and it is a stunner! When I was the colours I was really not sure how I was going to get my head around it. It seemed mad? But then I realised that it is the colours from the Happiness Blooms Designer Series Paper; and it works! Me being me, of course I went a totally different way and went nowhere near the Happiness Blooms Suite.

I started by pulling the ink pads for the colour challenge so I knew where I was going. Then I realised that one of the FREE items this Sale-a-Bration is Lovely Lipstick Foil and it is STUNNING. Whatever else I was going to use, I was going to use that! So now to design a card with that in mind. The foil is amazing, but it is very bright, so needs to be used in moderation. A thin die cut seemed a good move, and maybe a very thin mat. Paired with Night of Navy the thin mat line was perfect (in my opinion anyway!) The problem I have with using the foil as a mat is the waste in the middle. So I cut the middle out and used THAT for my die cut. Now all I needed to do was use the other three colours!

Botanical Butterfly FREE Paper came to the rescue, well partly. I used the Pineapple Punch and Calypso Coral to stamp one of the butterflies and then punched it out. But I still had Call Me Clover to use, then I remembered that the Leaf Ribbon is Call Me Clover! Leaves and Butterflies work, right, and they do, but it was not right on the Night of Navy, it needed more ‘pop’. I tried Call Me Clover and the Crackle Paint Stamp on Whisper White and it was just what I needed. So that is how I worked this Challenge, but what about you? How are you going to work it?
