Meant To Be – #simplestamping Saturday. In case you have not realised, I am loving this series of posts. I think #simplestamping is something for everyone and should not only be considered as being for new, or Beginner stampers. We all need quick cards every now and again, so why not #simplestamping? But, I also am having great fun stepping up my #simplestamping projects so that they are aimed more towards the casual and avid crafter. What do I mean by ‘beginner’, ‘casual’ and ‘avid’? Check back tomorrow for more on that.

When I was putting today’s projects together I worked in a slightly different way. I started with the #simplestamping project, which is the usual place I start. This uses a note card and envelope, one ink pad, some watercolour pencils and a Blender Pen (which is optional). Oh, ad of course the stamp set!! This is such a great time to shop with me because, if you were to order these items, even without the Blender Pen, you would qualify for a FREE Sale-a-Bration item. I am digressing. As I said, I started by designing the #simplestamping project and then went straight to the Avid project. This uses the full Meant to Be Bundle (10% off the Stamps and Dies if bought as a Bundle using the Bundle code!). It also uses the fantastic Grapefruit Grove & Lovely Lipstick Foil Sheets from the Sale-a-Bration Brochure. This foil coordinates with both the All My Love AND Floral Romance papers and has 4, yes 4, full 12 x 12 sheets of each colour.

Having designed the Avid project I then went about designing the Casual project. This is true cross between the #simplestamping, and Avid versions. I used the Designer Series Paper and Ribbon to replace the heart die cut band and then hand cut the stamped heart. Instead of watercolour pencils, I used Blends to colour the image. Blends are great for all levels of stamper, and I do use them with my new crafters at class, but….They bleed through the front of the note card and show on the inside of the card. You can resolve this by using a mat of Whisper White card and adding this to the front of the note card, but that is not what this #simplestamping Saturday series is about.
