OK, let’s start with a disclosure. I have lots of dies, so I use them, but if you don’t have the ones I have used, you can just cut your card to size. Which dies do I mean? The Stitched Shapes and the Layering Squares. I like them because I know I will get perfect squares every time AND I adore that stitching. Who wouldn’t? Is it just me? If you like the stitching, don’t miss the new Rectangle Stitched Dies on page 28 of the Spring/Summer Catalogue. They are a bit hidden, but you can bundle them with the Amazing Life Stamps and save 10%, Oh, and if you get them before the end of March you will get a FREE Sale-a-Bration item. So there I am, going off track again. The card Liz, talk about the card!!!!!

It is not a complicated card. Some simple stamping and colouring and tying a knot. Not complicated at all. I have used the Corrugated Embossing folder, which is easy enough to use (just don’t try it with Vellum – ask me why sometime) if you remember that the width will shrink by about 3/8″ (1cm) over a 4 ” (10.25 cm) width, so cut your card accordingly. My suggestion is to use liquid glue when I am sticking embossing down. Not only does it not flatten the embossing, but you can also make sure that the adhesive is on the raised areas. That does kind of help it stick to the next layer.

The mask I used for the Rooster is just a post it note. Stamp the image so that as much as possible will have the sticky backing, then just cut round it as close to the image as possible. Don’t forget to keep the mask in the stamp box for future use. Are you still wondering about that feminine product I mentioned?
