Do You Love the New Cling Stamps? Too Sticky? Really! I Can Fix That! I do sometimes wonder if we can ever all be pleased. It was not that long ago that I was hearing people say that clear mount stamps did not stick to blocks if you put the stickers on. Just imagine my surprise when only last week I heard someone say that they thought the new Cling Mount were too sticky! Now, here’s the thing, personally I have not had a problem, I love the new stickers. Well, other than it means I now have to take the time to put them on. But no, apparently there are people out there who think they are too sticky.
It felt like being issued with a challenge and I had to meet it head on. Other than suggesting that the this person left the stickers off again, I knew there had to be a solution. And there is, and it is simple. There is some information at the front of the new Spring/Summer Catalogue that says you can run the cling mount labels under a tap if you need to clean them. So, my mind started running. If you can clean the cling mount labels with just running water, what happens if you deliberately make them dirty. Guess what, they loose some of their stickiness! So that is the answer. Make the cling mount label a bit dirty.
How? Simple stick the cling mount stamp to the back of your hand a couple of times. Let’e not think about what it is picking up though, let’s just embrace the fact that it works and makes it so much easier to remove your cling mount stamps from the case and blocks.
In the Spring/Summer Catalogue you will find that the chose of stamps is now just Cling Mount and Photopolymer. I know a few people are concerned that they would like to try the Cling Mount before they buy. Well you can (sort of) because there are some Sale-a-Bration Stamps that are in Cling Mount, so if your order is over £45, you can pick one of those as your FREE item and test drive it.
