Amazing Life Bundle Goes Black and White – Almost! However much I love the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper, not least of all because it is FREE, I almost think I like the black and white geometric patterns more than the butterflies. It was those ‘B’ sides that gave me part of the inspiration for today’s project. I wanted to feature the Amazing Life Bundle (page 28 of the Spring/Summer Catalogue)m so decided to go for a, basically, black and white project, with just a pop of colour.

As I am trying to shed a few pounds at the moment, the cake image is about as close as I am allowing myself to actual cake, so went with that. There seemed to be the right amount of irony in picking the ‘Life’s too short to say no to Cake’ sentiment as the main feature for my card. But if cake is not your thing, the Amazing Life Bundle has lots to choose from.

I heat embossed that in White and then used one of the Rectangle Stitched Framelits to cut it out. On the second card I substituted Silver Embossing powder. The cake was stamped in Memento Black, die cut and then coloured using the 2018-2020 InColor Stampin’ Write Markers. I have heard that some people are not comfortable using the markers with Memento, but as long as the black is fully dry and you use a light touch with the markers, it is not a problem.

On the original card I added some Black Satin Ribbon round the Designer Series Paper, but for the second, I used the Black/Silver Striped Metallic Ribbon. On both cards I tied a second piece round it towards the left of the card. A few Dimensionals behind the two die cut pieces and some of the Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots finish the cards off. Aren’t they striking! So easy, thanks to those amazing Rectangle Stitched Framelits and the Amazing Life Bundle.
