A Cat Shaped Hole! I was very sorry to see a post from a friend advising that their lovely cat had finally given in to Kidney Failure. Their cat had been with them for 16 years. He was a rescue cat and had lived with them through children becoming adults, a 200 mile relocation, a wedding as well as all the normal day to day ups and downs. I know he will be missed, a lot. As a cat lover myself, I had to send a card to let my friend know that my husband and I are thinking of them. The perfect Stamp set for that is Sorry for Everything. It has the perfect sentiment for the lose of a furry friend. The perfect punch is the cat punch.

As today is the continuation of the Online Extravaganza and is for Tools and Inks, using the cat punch seemed like perfect timing too. As my friend’s cat was black, I decided to just punch a cat in Basic Black cards stock. I used the Neutrals Designer Series Paper stack for the patterned background, just cutting it to show both sides. I went for a Gray Granite colour scheme, adding the Textured Ribbon for some added texture (oops, pun!). Some simple stamping finishes the card off and keeps it #simplestamping.

A quick but heartfelt card to let my friend know that we really understand the hole that a furry friend can leave in the family.
