Wear It Pink 2018 – For a Future Where Everyone With Breast Cancer Lives Take Two. Yesterday I brought you a VERY Pink Project. Well, I have another today. Why, because Wear It Pink is important to me and we need the message to get out there. We need a future where everyone with breast cancer lives. Every year in the UK alone, 11,500 people will die as a result of a Breast Cancer Diagnosis. This is not just a Women’s issue, Breast Cancer in men is rare, but it does happen. About 1% of Breast Cancer Diagnosis in the UK are for men. Men are not expecting this, so they tend to wait longer before seeing a doctor. This is not a great start!
I know that reading this type of information on a Craft Blog may not be your perfect idea of spending a Saturday, but this is close to my heart. I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in July 2012. Not just one form of Breast Cancer, oh no! I had four different types all at once. In the next year I had four rounds of surgery. I had 6 months of Chemotherapy, but was saved from having Radiotherapy. I am on daily medication which has the added side effect of increasing my chance of Osteoporosis, I am already border line! The list of possible side effects goes on and on. This is not me feeling sorry for myself, this is just to raise awareness. Finishing your treatment is not the end, and you live everyday with the shadow of finding that it has spread. This could be many, many years later. Once it has spread there is currently no cure. This is what Wear It Pink! is all about. Finding a cure for EVERYONE with this diagnosis, including when it has spread.
In my video yesterday I said that I would donate all commission from sales for two days. THIS WAS WRONG! I am donating all my commission from sales for 19th, 20th and 21st October 2018. This is in addition to my personal donation.
Today’s project is a really cute skating Snowman, dressed in PINK of course! It is a fun card and I hope it makes you smile. It is easy to make and of course you can make it in any colour you want. As well as the Spirited Snowmen, the card features the Snow is Glistening set, due to be released next month. I had such fun making this project, why not give it a go and share your version in my Old Stables Crafty Hangout Facebook Group? Anyone can join, just request to do so and I will get you added as soon as possible. We have a lot of very talented people sharing their crafty makes over there. Not just Stamping, all kinds of craft are welcome.
REMEMBER All Commission I earn between 19th and 21st October 2018 will be donated to the
Wear It Pink! Campaign
