Pleasant Pheasant Easy Watercolour

Pleasant Pheasant Easy Watercolour. And I do mean seriously easy water-colouring. I don’t think you can get much easier that using watercolour pencils and an Aqua Painter. I went for a really lose background, deliberately colouring OUTSIDE THE LINES!! This is a great way to build up some colour without distracting from the main image, in this case the male Pheasant. Even the female Pheasant is taking a bit of a supporting role, just because she is in front……..

Pleasant Pheasants Watercolour Card

The Pleasant Pheasant Stamp set is perfect for a more classic Autumn Card and would be great for men too, which is a bonus! You could change the colour of the cardbase and mat to make it a more feminine card, but with Pumpkin Pie and Cajun Craze I think it is just right.

Pleasant Pheasants Watercolour Card

If you were lucky enough to get the limited edition Watercolour pencils last month, then you have a few more colouring options. Don’t worry if you missed those, the standard set still work really well for this card. I added some of the new Braided Trim to one side of the card and tied it in a knot. I frayed the ends to soften the finish.

A simple and easy card. And guess what? I love it and can’t wait to give some of the other images in the set a go. Come back for more soon.

Thank you for sharing, Liz. Pheasants are the state bird of South Dakota, USA. You were emphatic in the video about your personal choice of never using Stayzon with photo-polymer stamps. I am in total agreement. What ink do you use when you would like to watercolor with a photo-polymer stamp? Many thanks.

Hi Peggy, I didn’t know that the Pheasant is the state bird of South Dakota! I guess Pleasant Pheasants Sets will be sold there then! Memento is water resistant once it is fully dry, although ‘water resistant’ is not quite the same as ‘waterproof!’. Now that we have Black Embossing Powder, that would certainly be an option. Alternatively, using the Stamparatus, you could stamp with Memento first and then in Versamark with Clear Embossing Powder too. I hope that helps, but I should add, I have not tried either. Lx
