Painted Glass Butterflies Meet Falling Flowers

Painted Glass Butterflies Meet Falling Flowers. I should start by saying that this is not an original idea, there are similar examples all over Pinterest, but this is my version of it.

Painted Glass Butterflies Meet Falling Flowers

Falling Flowers is an older stamp set, but I don’t judge my sets by their age, if I did, I would never use Lovely as a Tree! I think that if a stamp set has been around for a while, there is a good reason to use it, because it must be popular with existing customers, but also with new ones. So today I bring you Falling Flowers with the new Painted Glass Bundle. The whole of the Graceful Glass Suite is an interesting mix of really pretty and Gothic, so ticks lots of boxes. In this case I just wanted a small butterfly, so pulled this set.

The original card is made using just Soft Sea Foam and Whisper White, with a Vellum Butterfly Heat Embossed with Clear Embossing Powder. The addition of the rhinestones brings the card to life I think, while it is still a soft, subtle card. I wanted to go for a totally different look with the second card, so chose Melon Mambo as my colour. And wow! What a difference changing the colour makes. We now have a bright and jolly card, the Glitter Dots add an extra pop!

I love how just changing the colour can make such a difference to the final project. This is why I love having a selection of Classic Ink and matching Cardstock on hand. It also shows how taking an idea you can end up with such different projects depending in on the products you choose. Why not give this idea a go and see how using differen supplies can bring totally different results.
