Wreath Template Technique Time – Part 2. I hope you caught yesterday’s post about how to make a Wreath Template just using some grid paper and a piece of stiff card. If not, do go and take a look, it is really easy to do and the finished cards are STUNNING. Today I hope to prove just how stunning and easy the really are.
My Template is for a 3-1/2″ square of card, which is the perfect size for a standard Metric A6 card base. This is perfect for those really small stamps that you often avoid using, simply because they are small. Just grab your Stamparatus and a piece of card cut at 3-1/2″ and we can get started.
Make your Wreath
Place your card into the wreath template on the Stamparatus and hold the template in place with magnets. I like to start by laying the largest of my stamps as near to the middle of an edge of my square card as possible (face down) and them pick it up with the stamping plate. Ink the stamp, stamp it and then turn your card one place in either direction and stamp again. Repeat until you have completed a full circle. Then add a new stamp and repeat the process. Just keep going until you have the pattern you are looking for. Remember you don’t have to stamp in all 8 positions, you can skip every second one if you want, just use half the circle. Lots of choices.
If you are looking to make lots of the same wreath card, remember you have 4 surfaces with the Stamparatus, so you can use a different one for each of your stamps and just keep going. I can see lots of possibilities with this, so keep your eyes peeled for more projects using this technique.
