Team Colour Challenge Time. Yesterday I showed you a project that was inspired by a Team Sketch Challenge, today I have one inspired by a Team Colour Challenge. And I added some shimmer to make this extra special. Find out how below.
The Colours we are required to use are:
Now these are not colours that I would instantly put together, but then that is kind of the point of the challenge. I thought about it for a while and then realised that all these colours are in the soon to be released Frosted Florals Suite. This is one of my favourite suites from the new catalogue, and is so not just for Christmas and Autumn. All of the papers are pearlised and oh so pretty, although I actually have not used any of the paper in the project. The pearl did inspired me to use a shimmer background; do you want to know how I did that?
Well, you have already seen me paint with the new Shimmer Paint in a project, but if you add a very small amount to water in a Stampin’ Spritzer, you can spray your cardstock with the most amazing shimmer. Sadly, I don’t think it the shimmer shows up that well in either the video or photos, but in real life, WOW!
I must thank Jenny Hall in the USA for the inspiration for the colouring of the thistles, she had a great video showing how to do this. I highly recommend visiting her website and YouTube Channel.
Unfortunately I am not able to list most of the products in today’s project, but if you are in the UK and don’t already work with a Demonstrator, I can offer to send you a Catalogue so you can add them to your wish list. Just drop me an email and I will pop one in the post for you.
