Jar of Love Colour Challenge for Inspire.Create.Challenge. And its a Colour Challenge again!! I love these. And what a bright and zingy (there’s that word again) combination it is.

I wanted to pull an older stamp set out for this project. I know there are lots of lovely new goodies around,a nd more coming very soon, bt I wanted to show so love to some friends. With the colour such a fantastic colour scheme to work with, I decided to keep it simple and not introduce any other colours, not even black! Now this could have been a problem as I had decided to use vellum for the actual jar, but not so. Because Classic Ink takes a long time to dry on vellum, it meant I had time to throw some clear embossing powder over the ink while it was wet. Tick jar and tick sentiment!

I coloured the reverse of the vellum jar with the light Bermuda Bay Stampin Blends. This gave just the right look of water that I was after. I attached the sentiment to the jar with some linen thread (and a sneaky mini glue dot!), stamped some foliage and a couple of flowers and I was done. So often you can throw too much at one project, when all we need is some simplicity.
