I call this my Pandora Box Bag and here’s why. Earlier this summer my beautiful, clever niece celebrated her 21st Birthday. Normally the family would all get together to have a big celebration, but her parents decided that they would give her a trip of a lifetime for her birthday. This meant that she spent her birthday travelling round Malaysia, Singapore and Bali! Lucky girl!! So the family get together was on Sunday.
But why am I calling this my Pandora Box Bag? Well, because my husband and I have gifted her a couple of Pandora Charms. These always come in a wonderful box and then a really pretty bag, but that would mean she would know pretty much what she was getting immediately. Where’s the fun in that? So pretty wrapping was the order of the day. This time using the…….Gift Bag Punch Board! I see so many projects with the Envelope Punch Board, but very few with the Gift Bag Punch Board. Time to remedy that, if only for this project.
The boxes have a base measurement of 2 x 2″, which is perfect for the Gift Bag Punch Board because the depth of the bags is also 2″. I ignored everything on the board other than the lines for the side of the bag and ended up with a 2 x 2″ base. The bag is nearer 4-1/2″ tall, with 3-1/2″ of usable space before it starts to come in at the top.
I love the closure using the Scalloped Tag Topper punch. This works perfectly with any 2″ piece of paper, so don’t just think of using it for tags. The closure folds over the top of the bag from back to front and is then held in place with a ribbon tied in a pretty bow (eventually!) Add a stamped element using the Treat Time stamp set and the Pretty Label Punch, add a 1-3/4″ Circle behind and it is all pretty much done. I used Melon Mambo for the ink and circle. This is not a colour that is used in the paper, but I wanted that extra pop of colour that it brought to the project. Having added Melon Mambo, it meant I could also use the Glitter Enamel Dots for some extra zing!
There is still time to order the August Craft Box, perfect if you would like to sample some Stampin’ Up! products. I am taking orders for the July Craft Box. Orders MUST be paid for by 25th August 2018 (cheques must be received by 23rd August 2018 to allow for banking). To see what you get for only £20 delivered, take a look here:

Dimensions
Designer Series Paper – 8-3/4″ x 8-3/4″
Punch and score using the side mark on the Gift Bag Punch Board. Keep going until you run out of paper!! From the edge with the narrow piece, trim the unpunched edge down by 2-3/4″ BUT only trim away the narrow piece and the next three panels. This will leave you with one panel still attached. KEEP THIS and trim away along the score mark. This will leave you with a 2″ wide strip attached to the main piece of paper. Punch this with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch and then finish constructing the bag. Probably best to watch the video!!!
