An Itty Bitty bit of Handwritten Touches of Texture. Is it me, or are my titles getting more and more obtuse? Well actually, all I have done this time is use most of all of the names of the stamp sets I used. It is a little stamp set heavy, but It would be easy to switch out the background stamp I used for a similar one. I am finding the Itty Bitty Greetings set really helpful. It pretty much covers every occasion you could need.

I like the idea of a feature panel, and I have done these a lot with inking inside a Template, in fact there is a project like that coming tomorrow. Sometimes I think a fully inked focal point is just a bit too much, so using a stamp can provide a softer effect. This works particularly well if the background stamp is not too solid, so the new Handwritten Stamp is perfect for this. I used Gray Granite stamped off once for this element. The remainder of the stamping was done with Tranquil Tide and Fresh Fig Stampin’ Write Markers. I love that you can use these to colour stamps, as well as for adding colour in the traditional way.

The Floral image from Touches of Textures, was stamped in Tranquil Tide and then coloured with Tranquil Tide and Fresh Fig using a Blender Pen. Blender Pens come in a set of 3 and are great for adding colour from Pens, Ink Pads or Watercolour Pencils. The sentiment for this card uses the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set. This has 32 sentiments included, but if you use elements of some of them, you can make a whole lot more. I split the one I used so it was longer. The ‘fabulous’ is stamped in Fresh Fig, and ‘at any age’ is in Tranquil Tide. I punched the strip using the Classic Label Punch. using the middle of the mat (waste not, want not), I punched a piece of Fresh Fig with the same punch. I used Tranquil Tide and Fresh Fig for the card base and mat, so the whole card ties together nicely.
