Springtime Impressions Flutter By Butterflies. Today is Colour Challenge Day for the Inspire.Create.Challenge Design Team and what fun we have all been having with our projects.
A couple of the Design Team take it in turns to write the blog post, and this time was my turn, so I got to see all the fantastic projects in advance. They are amazing, and we have the wonderful Jenny Hall as Guest Designer this time; we are so lucky to have her join us!
My project is a Home Decor item and features the butterfly die from the Springtime Impressions Thinlits. It is so pretty and was first seen by Demonstrators at the April OnStage (Demonstrator only Conference) where large versions were decorating vases on all of our tables. A real sea of multicoloured butterflies. I used the new Embossing Mats to emboss the Vellum layer, they do end up quite delicate, but so very pretty.
This is now hanging from the roof fan in my craft room (just wish the fan made a difference to the heat in my room!!). I have used the Sprintime Impressions dies to add a few more butterflies and a few more strings, so there lots now. I checked to see what the collective noun is for butterflies and there seem to be a number (swarm seems too aggressive, as does rabble, and flight seems a bit too easy!). My favourite is a Kaleidoscope of Butterflies, it seems to sum them up perfectly.
Do hop over to the Inspire.Create.Challenge Group (just click on the picture above) and check out all the other inspiration. There are so many styles to get you started. Add yours and you never know, you could be the next Winner!!!
