Simple Envelope Mini Album – Part Two, the Pretty Bit. Yesterday I showed you how to make this mini album, using just three envelopes! Today I will show you how I decorated it with all the pretty bits. This is my favourite part!
The decoration is not that complicated, you just need to cut lots of pieces ready to stick down – dimensions below. You do need to decide if you are going to ink the edges of your papers. I inked the papers for yesterday’s album, but today’s I have left plain. I think it depends on the paper, it kind of felt right for Petal Promenade, but not for Tea Room.
The simple envelope mini album has two pockets, one flap and a space for a tag (or you could use a Gift Card instead. I decided to use plainer patterns for the pockets and tag, and the more patterned pieces for the areas that can be seen. These could be used for photos or ephemera.
This is really easy to put together if you follow the directions in the video There are a couple of things to remember, mostly to NOT stick the mats for the pocket fronts down to the back of the envelope! I would love you to give this a try and to share your makes with me. I have a community Facebook Group – Old Stables Crafty Hangout – open to all crafters, so why not join and share your mini album? Invite your friends to join too! Anyone can add members, so please feel free.
