Simple Envelope Mini Album – Part One, the Basic Construction. I love Scrapbooking, it has always been a passion of mine, but these days, a full 12×12 album is a little daunting. Envelope Mini Albums, are a great way to record a few memories of one short occasion. I love them for weekend outings, day trips, family parties, in fact anything when you have a few photos and want to record just a few thoughts. Choose papers that match the occasion and you have a perfect record of the event, or great present to gift.
Today I am going through the basic construction, using the envelope mini album I have made using Petal Promenade DSP as the example. Tomorrow I will go through adding the layers, tags etc.
The album itself is made using just 3 envelopes and a little adhesive. You simply pop them all together (see the video for instructions) and they are ready to go. This really is one of the simplest mini albums you can make and is an ideal way to use up some of that Designer Series Paper we all hoard. Go on, I know you do, it is not just me that likes to stroke it and keep it intact. But if you really love it, cut it up and use it. It is also a great way to use the papers from a Paper Share – take a look at my share further down this post.
All I added to today’s version of the envelope mini album was some Powder Pink Shimmer Ribbon and a Pearl Doilie. I did ink all the edges of the DSP, but that is a step you can leave out.
