Lovely Floral Watercolour

Lovely Floral Watercolour. I seem to be on a bit of a trend with the Lovely Floral Embossing Folder, I just can’t stop using it. There are quite a few projects on Pinterest similar to this, so I thought I would give it a go. I had a spare embossed mat on my desk (the one I had started to add So Saffron to earlier this week), so the timing was good.

I decided to use Stampin’ Blends on this card, mostly because the embossed piece I had was on smooth Whisper White. As you know, adding too much liquid to Whisper White is not a great idea. Stampin’ Blends are not available in Europe at the moment as we are waiting for our delivery. They should be with us soon, and I know a lot of you already have them, so ‘Why not’ I thought.

I am reasonably pleased with the result, although it is MUCH better in real life than in the photos. I think I would like to try this again, maybe on Shimmery White Card, using ink and an Aqua Painter. That said, I do like the effect and the colours I have used work well together. All of the colours are the ‘light’ version; Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and Pool Party. Add Pool Party Mat and Shimmer Ribbon, a So Saffron Card Base, and you get a really pretty, feminine card. Do watch the video to see the stamping on the inside. I was really pleased with how that turned out, but I will be using that idea again! Yes, I am teasing you, but you will just have to go and look!!

So, quick, easy and pretty, what more could you want?
