Dandelion Wishes Colour Blocking. As you probably know by now, I have an ongoing love of the Dandelion Wishes. This stamp set is one of the most versatile I have used in a long while. Whether you go subtle or bold, this set will deliver what you are looking for.
This time I am going for a bold look with colour blocking and silhouette dandelions. Colour blocking is a really easy, but very effective technique. Simply add ink to a clear block, in this case D Block, spray with a little water and stamp it straight onto Shimmery White Card. I love the effect you get with the Shimmery White card, that extra glimmer lifts the whole piece. Once it was no longer wet, I placed a block on top of the piece to keep if flat.
When the piece was fully dry, I brought out my Stamparatus, stamp positioning tool, and stamped the three Dandelions with Memento ink. I stamped them a few times to get a really black finish, and added extra black with a marker in the middle of each. Without the Stamparatus, the multiple stamping would have been impossible.
I mounted the Shimmery White on a piece of Poppy Parade card, just 1/8″ larger than the Shimmery White, to add another pop of colour. This piece was then added to a Basic Black mat with Dimensionals, and then added to a White Card Base.
The only time-consuming part of this is waiting for the colour block to dry, the rest is quick and easy. Have you enjoyed the projects I have brought to you with the Dandelion Wishes set?
