May Craft Box – Simple But Effective Bottle Tag. Sometimes a simple project is what is needed, and I think this may be one of those times.
I said that the May Craft Box was aimed at Father’s Day projects in particular, and what says ‘Happy Father’s Day’ more frequently than a bottle of something? One of the hardest presents to disguise, has to be a bottle. Put it in a bottle bag, it is obviously a bottle. Wrap it in expensive wrapping paper, it is still going to look like a bottle. So let’s make life easy and just add a simple tag to the neck of the bottle. Our Father’s will love it! Perhaps a slightly larger bottle is required.
The image of the deck chair has to be perfect for Father’s Day too, surely that is exactly where they should be sitting on their day! The key, I find to 2-step stamping is to stamp the darker image first. It is much easier to line up a paler image onto a darker image than the other way around. I used Real Red for the seat of the chair, but there is part of me that would like to use Merry Merlot! Maybe that only works if the contents of the bottle is right!
