Today is St George’s day. By tradition, St George is remembered as having slain a dragon, so I thought I would have a bit of fun with that idea today. So this is my take on some punch art on a Curvy Box.
The Curvy box die has to be one of the most versatile that we have; it can be used for so many projects, and seems to be most people’s ‘go to’ style for punch art projects, because of the shape I am sure. Unfortunately it is on the Retirement List, so if you want it before it goes….
I have only used two punches for this project – the Bow Builder and the Owl Builder. The Bow Builder seemed like the perfect choice for the flames and ears and the Owl Builder has so many sizes of circle, it was perfect for all of the features. I have added a couple of extra panels on the sides in Whisper White, with some thin strips of Real Red – I mean you have to have a George Cross somewhere on a St George’s day project, don’t you?
I hope you have fun with this little project. Why not try making a few more animals with this box, the possibilities are endless.
